When Chris Paul left the Clippers, it really marked the beginning of the end for Lobb City.
In the first blockbuster move ahead of the 2018 trade deadline, the Los Angeles Clippers are set to trade All-Star power forward Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons on Monday night, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. In return, the Clippers will reportedly receive Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic, and a first-round pick. They will reportedly include big men Willie Reed and Brice Johnson in the deal.
The Clippers and Pistons have agreed on a deal to trade Blake Griffin for Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic, a first-round and a second-round draft pick, league sources tell ESPN.

The trade brings Griffin, who spent his entire career in Los Angeles, to an underachieving Pistons team that is 22-26 and three games behind Philadelphia 76ers for the eighth playoff seed in the Eastern Conference. Griffin, who last Summer signed a maximum five-year, $173 million contract to return to the Clippers in free agency, averaged 22.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 33 games this season. He is a four-time All-NBA player but missed this year’s cut.
reports say that the Clippers aren’t done dealing either. Apparently, guard Lou Williams and center DeAndre Jordan are also both being shopped around at the moment.
The trade works for both teams for several reasons. The Clippers are currently 9th in the Western Conference. At this point, it makes all the sense in the world to do a slow rebuild. In Detriot, with the addition of Griffin, all signs point to a playoff run in the Eastern Conference.
